El fin de semana fui a uno de los últimos días del Seagrams New York Hotel Bingo Brunch, desde que vivo en España llevo años escuchando de los Seagrams experiences, pero jamás me había animado a ir, y este año he ido al Bingo Brunch, ¡que experiencia tan ideal!
Desde el momento que entras por la puerta te trasladas fuera de Madrid, este año se celebró en el Gran Hotel Inglés en el Barrio de las Letras, la verdad es que no lo conocía y me ha encantado.
Por suerte me tocó sentarme justo al borde del escenario, a pie de toda la acción. Desde el primer momento ya entras en ambiente, el policía Buck manteniendo el control e introduciendo a nuestra querida hosttess Lady Liberty directo de NYC.
Comenzamos tomándonos un delicioso cóctel, como el Gin Fizz y el Gin Gimlet, ambos súper ricos y frescos. El resto del menú fue preparado y diseñado por Byron Hogan, chef ejecutivo de la embajada americana. El menú consistía en un biscuit de honey buttermilk con mantequilla de leche de cabra, una deliciosa tosta de aguacate, remolacha, hummus, queso azul y ensalada, luego un sándwich de huevo con pastrami ahumado, salsa de queso suizo y chucrut. Para terminar, unas tortitas de plátano y buttermilk, mantequilla de manzana especiada y jarabe de arce infusionado con bacón.
Mientras disfrutábamos de la comida tuvimos un show/juego entretenido de Bingo, creo que llevaba más de 10 años sin jugar y realmente nos reímos mucho durante toda la experiencia. No grité ¡LÍNEA!, pero me reí con los que ganaban porque les hacían subir al escenario para tomar unos shots con algún baile o actividad divertida.
¡He quedado con ganas de asistir al magnífico evento del año que viene!

Last weekend we went to one of the last days of the Seagrams New York Hotel Bingo Brunch, since I’ve been living in Spain for years, I’ve heard about to Seagrams experiences, but we had never dared to go, and this year we went to Bingo Brunch, what an experience!
From the moment you walk through the door you leave Madrid, this year it was held at the Gran Hotel Ingles in the neighborhood of Las Letras… You can’t imagine how many times I´ve walked in this area completely ignorant that this hotel was placed right there.
For our fortune we had most probably the best seats of the house, we sat right on the catwalk, just at the base of all the action. From the moment you walk in, policeman Buck is making sure all is under control and orderly – very American style – and introduces our beloved Lady Liberty direct from NYC, the beautiful hostess of the day.
We started with a delicious cocktail, like the Gin Fizz and the Gin Gimlet, both super fresh. The rest of the menu was prepared and designed by Byron Hogan, Executive Chef of the American Embassy. The menu consisted of a honey buttermilk biscuit with goat milk butter, a delicious avocado toast, beet, hummus, blue cheese and salad, then an egg sandwich with smoked pastrami, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut sauce and to close banana and buttermilk pancakes, spiced apple butter and maple syrup infused with bacon.
While we enjoyed the food we had an entertaining show/game of Bingo, I think it has been over 10 years since I have played this game, although we didn’t win we really laughed a lot during the whole experience.
We are eager to attend the magnificent event next year!
